Classical Liberalism

The very first ideology emerged in the modern time was Liberalism. Ever wondered how do we decide any idea to be belonging to any particular ideology.

Can you figure the corresponding ideologies behind the following applications?
i) Preserving your culture and tradition.
ii) Having equal wealth among individuals and no inequality in a society.

There must have been some philosophies or in simple term some logic behind imagining a society with no wealth/resource inequality or preserving ones own culture. Every ideology has a philosophical base (logic) and in turn has applications.

Let's dive into understanding Liberalism as an ideology.

So the philosophy behind classical liberalism is:
i) Rationality of human beings.
ii) Equal moral worth.

So I will make a table and show philosophy and its application.

Don't be baffled if it doesn't fit to your definition of liberalism, Liberalism is of three types and what I talked about is called Classical Liberalism. Maybe some other day I will talk about other two forms of liberalism. Till then let me know about criticisms and appreciation for classical liberalism.

Comments

  1. Assumption of human beings as rational is itself wrong.
